Tom’s Kitchen is a modern British twist on a French brasserie. While brasserie means comfort food – there is Caesar salad and steak tartare, fish pie and macaroni cheese (with a grating of truffle), Tom’s Kitchen also puts its well-executed spin on other dishes such as hand-dived baked scallops with chorizo, lemon, thyme and garlic, and duck confit with a haricot bean cassoulet, and steamed mussels with dill, Pernod and fennel. Desserts are no less exciting - and comforting, from milk chocolate mousse profiteroles to espresso crème brûlée.
Tom’s Kitchen believes in making the most of the seasons, so the menu changes accordingly, bringing the best each month has to offer.
And weekend brunch is a must. Highlights include a grilled open steak sandwich with onion relish, tomato, watercress and big chips, and blueberry pancakes with maple syrup.
