Tom Aikens opened Tom’s Kitchen in Chelsea in November 2006, just a few hundred yards from Tom Aikens Restaurant, his eponymous award-winning business. Located in a good-looking townhouse on the former site of The Blenheim pub in the London neighbourhood of Chelsea, Tom’s Kitchen covers three floors and offers all-day brasserie dining, from breakfast to dinner, in a relaxed, informal environment. It also offers two rooms for private dining, drinks parties and canapé receptions on its second floor.
The ground floor brasserie seats 75, and the first floor bar, open until late, offers the full Tom’s Kitchen menu, along with WiFi, cold snacks, hot drinks, and an extensive cocktail and drinks list. Plus, there are two beautiful spaces for private hire on the second floor, including a 24-seat dining room and an adjacent lounge, available for breakfast, lunch, dinner or meetings.
Tom’s Kitchen is a ten-minute walk from South Kensington Underground station on chic Cale Street on Chelsea Green. It’s a village within a village, with its boutiques and jewellers, launderette and hairdresser, plus an ace fish shop, The Chelsea Fishmonger, a top butcher, Jago, and Jane Asher’s cake shop. The King’s Road is just a two-minute walk away with its endless shopping possibilities and cutting edge art, in the Saatchi Gallery.
